Visual triggers
Geraldine walks through the ruins of what were once her house. She kneels down on the floor and weeps excessively, she looks up into the the sky and shouts Why me?
God why me!!!. And continues to cry bitterly. She could still remember how things were before the massive large scale destrucion took place. She had left the house earlier on to go to a shop quite a distant away from her home to buy some groceries. It is during this period that a huge tornado comes and wipes out a house. Taking away with it, her husband and her three children. She now is left all alone and feels no reason to live, as the biggest reason she was ever living for has now left due to the forces of nature. She searches desperately digging through every debris in hope to find the remains of her family. All in vain the only remains she can ever find there are the broken tiles and fragments of her house. In a way she has been feeling this coming all along.

You were so close with this one. It’s the shortest visual trigger I’ve read so far, but I don’t hold that against you. What’s missing is why this happened to Geraldine. What moral law of society did she break that she needed to be punished for?
